We were directed to go to a gate across from our gate. The plane wasn't there yet so we had to wait for it to arrive, then deplane everyone and then wait again for the plane to be cleaned. After 45 minuites we were allowed on the plane. The first plane had mechanical issues.

I suspect i caught flu on this flight as i could hear someone coughing a few rows back and ended up with flu a few days later. Also tiresome to have to watch movies on my device by holding up smartphone screen, would have liked to have in seat display. Better organizing of entry and exit onto the plane regarding all of the baggage people haul on. There should be a better system so those with no baggage can get in and out more quickly. So they were willing to wait for passengers in Hawaii but not Seattle?? Especially when this wasn't even our fault. Our flight was delayed in Atlanta. The staff could have gave us an explanation for the delay and how long it would be. Minors under the age of 18 are not permitted to fly unaccompanied on international flights or any itinerary that includes an international flight. Expect to get miles for us having to miss our first planned flight due to them waiting on passengers that decided to be late to the airport. The flimsy plastic seat underneath the floatation seat did not line up with the arm rests. It seemed as if the plastic part was zip tied on but immovable.

I would not recommend this company. I will never consider SPIRIT as an airline . Generally good but we were delayed almost two hours from the original time of purchase. The pilot claimed an internal issue then an external equipment issue that needed to be adddressed.

Actual CLT experience was rough. I've never seen the airport as bad in regards to security lines and wait. (For not being a holiday) A lot of folks missed their flight this morning. But wasnt offered a beverage somehow.
The billboard located outside Crypto.com Arena was an ad for Skyscanner, a website that allows users to compare airline ticket prices. The ad boasted of great flights from Dallas to Cancun, which did not seem to be a coincidence. Seatback entertainment system did not work even when the flight attendant rebooted it. At least I had my cell phone to connect with wifi. Over two hours wait to get wheelchair assistance from arrival to the departure gate for LA was unreasonable even though there appreared to be heavy demand.
We also had a TWO delay coming back from Mississippi, but that was on American Airlines and it was due to weather, so not their fault. Anyway, not at all impressed with United’s handling of our flight and the HUGE disappointment of missing our important family event for our 90 year old mother. All that money and all that stress and emotions for nothing. Having to wait the hour to bring an employee from LAX seemed like something that should not have happened. Why don’t you have a local back-up? Santa Ana is not a little airport in a rural area.
Seats were good no cell phone charges on the plane no TVs or entertainment. It wasn’t as horrible as I would have expected, however, to not provide water and change so much for bags is a ripoff to say the least. They canceled the flight 30 minutes prior to departure without any heads up. Flight from CLT to DUS via MUC ticketed by United Airlines and operated by Lufthansa. 2nd leg of flight from MUC to DUS was cancelled and no notification provided. At check in , Lufthansa agents at airport were unable to locate record and wanted us to contact United Airlines directly.
Flight cancelled and was told by a rude gate agent that they don’t accommodate on other airlines. Had to wait 5 hours for a connecting flight that had a 7 hour layover. Would not allow bags to be checked early so we couldn’t go through security .Had to rent a car for the afternoon to store bags and get a meal. No apology or reason given for the cancellation- just rudeness.
